  • Exam2 grades are posted on WebCT. You can get your exam back from me. You can see your scantrons during my office hours.
  • Project is available under the link "Project". The project is worth 25 points consisting of data analysis. The due date is June 15th. There will be a 10 points penalty for projects turned in after the due date. The projects will not be accepted after June 18th.  Projects must be turned in by the end of the class period.

  • Exam 3 (Final Exam) will be given on Friday, June 22nd in class. Remember to bring your calculator and picture id.
  • Coverage of Exam 3 :  As stated in the syllabus,  75% of the exam will be  new material (topics we covered since Exam 2) and 25% will be old material (starting with Distributions for Continuous R.V.s in the notes). You do not need to worry  about the first exam topics as long as you know the basics that we use all the time. ) Basically exam topics are distributions for continuous random variables, mean and standard deviation of linear combination of random variables, normal and exponential distribution,  Central Limit Theorem, probability plots, confidence intervals and hypothesis tests, correlation , simple linear regression, multiple regression and statistical quality control. I just gave the main titles of the topics here. But you should mostly concentrate on the last part as most of the questions will be from there.
  • Materials Related with Exam 3 : Practice Exam 3 is put under the link "Exams".  It only has questions about new material. I added some questions from Practice Exam 2 to this practice exam, the ones that we could not cover by Exam 2 .However, you should also review Practice Exam2 to review old material. Practice Exams are NOT meant to look just like the test, and it is NOT the only thing that you should study.  Make sure you know all the material from the lecture notes, quizzes, suggested homework problems and the corresponding chapters in the book. You can see the formula sheet and be familiar with that.  Formula sheet for the old material will be also provided in the exam. You will also be given a z-table, t-table and F-table.
  • Change in office hours: On Monday, 3rd period (11:00-12:15) Meixi (in Mc Carty C 428) and  on Tuesday, 4th period (12:30-1:45) Hao (GF 116D) will be helping you with your questions. There is no change in the other office hours.
