For each assignment, turn in only those problems indicated. Note however, that you are expected to do all of the assigned problems, and that you will be responsible for them on the exams.
You are encouraged to use the computer to do most of computations for these assignments. However, you should never simply turn in the output of an S-Plus session, for example. You are expected to edit the file to remove mistakes and other unnecessary output, and to annotate your work with appropriate discussion of the problems and your conclusions. This may be done on separate paper, referring to the computer output, or you may edit the output directly to add your comments.
