Course Description

The distance learning course, section 026C and 4F74, will be completely online. There will be lessons posted in Sakai which you will complete. These lessons will include several short video lectures and activities to help you learn the material. There will be regular homework assignments, quizzes, 2 tests, team project and individual project.

 There will also be online office hours and tutoring. All activities for the course will be done online. You should expect to spend about 2- 3 hours a day, 5 days a week on the course to adequately learn the material. These hours however can be done at a time that is convenient for you,( ie 1 -- 3am or 7 to 9pm) or any place that has internet access (Belgium or Pensacola).

o   No, all course activities happen online. You will not have to come to campus for any reason.

·         How comfortable do I have to be with a computer?

o   Since this is an online course, you need to be feel fairly comfortable working with a computer.

o   You need to be able to watch video using a wmv player or mp3 player, use your webcam, create a presentation using Prezi and Jing! (Both free programs.)

o   You need to feel comfortable downloading a Flash Player and updating Java.
