Exam 3 Information
When? The Exam is on Saturday, December 10th from
7:30 to 9:30 am (IN the MORNING!)
Where? The class is broken up by section into many rooms on
campus. Room Assignments are posted here.
Format: The test will be 33 multiple choice questions worth 3
points each. This totals 99 points.
One point will be given for bringing your ID to the exam as well as
filling in your name,
UF ID # and test code on your scantron
correctly.
What does it cover?

page 78 – 121 in
the handbook
·
Chapter
9 through Chapter 10 Sec. 4 in the textbook.
You will need to bring:

Pencil(s)
·
Picture ID
·
Calculator
(scientific or graphing* o.k.)
·
*Storing notes on
a graphing calculator is considered cheating and a violation of the honor code.
·
You cannot use
your cell phones including i-phones during the exam for any reason.

How to prepare:
·
Do the homework.
Three of the homework problems will appear on the test.
·
Review old quiz
questions.
·
Review your
notes.
·
Do the practice
problems.

These practice
problems are posted on the sidebar in Sakai.

Make sure that you
understand both concepts and calculation. Both will appear on the test.
Reviews:

In Class on Wednesday, December 7th
: I will go over the list of important ideas for the
exam. The list of topics is posted on the sidebar in Sakai.

On Tuesday, December 6th
, I will record a Question and
Answer Session from 9 to 11 am.
o Please submit your top three questions by Monday, December 5th 5pm
via email to mmeece AT stat.ufl.edu.
o The questions may come from homework
questions, quiz questions, notes, or the practice questions.
o I will go over the most commonly asked
questions first and continue to answer questions until I run out of questions
or time.
o This will be recorded so that everyone can
watch it. This will be similar to the regular lecture posting.

to attend the recording. The recording occurs in Norman G520.
