  • Wolfram Alpha

    A computational knowledge engine or answer engine developed by Wolfram Research. It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by computing the answer from externally sourced "curated data", rather than providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer as a search engine might.

  • SAS // JMP

    SAS is a software suite developed by SAS Institute for advanced analytics, business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics. It is the largest market-share holder for advanced analytics. Also very popular package used at UF.

    JMP offers a seamless interface to SAS.

  • Minitab

    A statistics package with drop down menus and a spreadsheet for data entry and manipulation. Basically, a souped up spreadsheet editor for statistics.

  • SPSS

    A statistics package developed IBM that is very popular with the social sciences.
