    STA 3032 (sec. 1H76): Engineering Statistics Prerequisite: MAC 2311 (or equivalent)
    An online class for UFO. A survey of the basic concepts in probability and statistics with engineering applications. Topics include probability, discrete and continuous random variables, confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and analysis of variance.

    STA 4210 (sec. 17FA): Regression Analysis Prerequisite: STA 3024 or STA 3032 or STA 4322
    Investigate the purposes, methods and applications of regression. Inference about model parameters and predictions, diagnostic and remedial measures about the model, independent variable selection, multicollinearity and autocorrelation. This course includes a chapter devoted to regression on time series data and forecasting based on the fitted model. The goal is to make students functional in the use of the important scientific tool of regression.

    STA 4211 (sec. 7324 ): Design of Experiments Prerequisite: STA 4210
    An introduction to the basic principles of experimental design: analysis of variance for experiments with a single factor; randomized blocks and Latin square designs: multiple comparison of treatment means; factorial and nested designs; analysis of covariance; an introduction to response surface methodology.

    STA 6166 (sec. 13F8): Statistical Research Methods I Prerequisite: STA 2023 (or equivalent)
    Not a web/online class. Introduce basic data analysis tools and to train graduate students in statistical tools associated with hypothesis testing and linear models. The aim is to promote sound scientific research and experimentation based on good statistical thinking and practice.
