Faculty position
The Williams College Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites
applications for one tenure track position in statistics, beginning
fall
2004, at the rank of assistant professor (in an exceptional case, a
more
advanced appointment may be considered). We are seeking a highly
qualified
candidate who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and research,
and who
will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
Williams College is a private, residential, highly selective liberal
arts
college with an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2,000 students.
The teaching load is two courses per 12-week semester and a winter
term
course every other January. In addition to excellence in teaching,
an
active and successful research program is expected.
