We are currently seeking three individuals with a solid grounding in the theory of statistical methods and experience in applying these to problems in genetics. These individuals will join a team of statisticians working in our genomics division in St. Louis, Missouri. The work environment is stimulating, fast-paced and interdisciplinary.

Applications of statistics will include design and analysis of expression and metabolic-profiling experiments, association studies, QTL mapping experiments, screening experiments for the effects of genes on plants, applied experimental design for development of assays, and work on other statistical problems in genomics and plant breeding. These individuals also will collaborate closely with database and software application developers building systems for data collection, storage, analysis, and presentation.

Required Skills:
Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred.    Experience in the use and programming of software packages (such as S-Plus and SAS) for data management and statistical analysis is essential. Experience in applying statistical methods to problems in genetics and/or transcriptional profiling is preferred. Some background in biology is desirable as is experience with SQL.
