Research Fellow in Biostatistics

The Division of Biostatistics in the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health is seeking an entry-level Research Fellow with an M.S. or M.P.H. in biostatistics, applied statistics, epidemiology, or a related field to work on clinical trials in AIDS research.  The position is an annually renewable professional academic appointment.

Research Fellows assist with the design and conduct of AIDS clinical trials, including data collection tools, clinician training, data analysis, and publication and presentation of trial results.  Research
Fellows also work closely with clinicians and Ph.D.-level statisticians.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent data management skills, and a working knowledge of SAS and/or SPLUS statistical packages.
