Research Associate in Biostatistics

The Biostatistics Core at the University of Minnesota’s Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Research Associate to provide statistical consulting on clinical trials and other projects in cancer research.  This position is an annually renewable professional academic appointment.

The Research Associate takes a senior/leadership position in the design of cancer clinical trials, performing statistical analyses of the data collected in these trials and other studies in basic and population-based sciences, and collaborating on the publication and presentation of the results.  The Research Associate also works closely with clinicians and masters level statisticians in the Biostatistics Core and the Clinical Trials Office.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or Sc.D. in Biostatistics or Statistics, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and working knowledge of data management and statistical packages.  Preference will be given to candidates with training and/or experience in survival analysis and in the design management, and analysis of clinical trials.
