New Open-Rank Faculty Position in Survey Statistics

Applications are invited for an open-rank faculty position in the
Department of Statistics & the Interdisciplinary Research Institute for
Survey Science (IRISS).  This position is affiliated with statistics
faculty who engage in interdisciplinary research in sample surveys,
supported in part by funding from federal and state agencies.  The
atmosphere is one of collaboration among faculty, students, subject matter
researchers in academia and government, and staff trained in survey
methodology.

Candidate is expected to maintain a quality program of research in survey
sampling and general statistics, including graduate student
advising.  Consulting duties involve design and analysis for sample surveys
in collaboration with campus, state, and federal researchers.  Light
teaching responsibilities include 1-2 courses per year.

Assistant professor candidates must have outstanding potential for research
excellence in statistics and effective teaching.  Associate and full
professor candidates should have demonstrated excellence in statistical
research and teaching.  A doctorate in Statistics or related field is
required.  Experience or coursework in survey sampling is preferred, but
not necessary.
