Master's Level Biostatistician II

The Division of Biostatistics at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis is accepting applications for a Biostatistician II opening. The position requires a Master's degree in Statistics or Biostatistics or a Master's degree in Epidemiology or Public Health with a strong Biostatistics background. Also required is a minimum of two years of post-masters degree practical experience with the following demonstrated qualities: ability to work independently, ability to collaborate effectively with research investigators, strong oral and written communication skills, desire/ability to assist with preparation of grant applications, and desire/ability to mentor.

 The position involves collaboration with medical investigators on projects in the areas of cancer, infectious disease, dentistry, and/or other medical research, with opportunities for participation in innovative statistical research.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Required Skills: Data analysis experience, statistical computing package expertise using SAS and/or S-PLUS, excellent oral and written communication, ability to work independently in data analysis and consulting.

Desired Skills: Programming experience (Fortran, C, C++).
