Postdoctoral Fellowships

Postdoctoral fellowships available in the Statistics Group of the Department of Health Care
Policy, Harvard Medical School beginning January or July 2002. The Statistics Group
conducts methodological and collaborative research in a multidisciplinary department with
subject-matter specialties in health services research and health economics. Specific topics
include causal inference for observational data, extensions of inference using propensity
scores, and hierarchical modeling using survey and administrative data where elements are
missing. Candidates should have a PhD in Biostatistics or Statistics (completed or
anticipated within the year), good communications skills, familiarity with hierarchical
modeling, an interest in learning about applications in health services research, and the
ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
