Assistant Professor (tenure track)

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Georgia College &
State University invites applications for one or more tenure track
Assistant Professor positions in mathematics.  A Ph.D. in mathematics,
statistics, or a closely related field is required.  The area of expertise
is open, and a passion for teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level
is essential.  Excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service is required
for promotion and tenure.  Employment would begin August 2004.

A selective university of approximately 5,600 students, Georgia College &
State University is located in Milledgeville, GA, a historic community
convenient to both Macon and Atlanta.  As the state's designated public
liberal arts university, GC&SU is committed to combining the educational
experiences typical of esteemed private liberal arts colleges with the
