Senior Clinical Research Data Operations Manager  #JS-14860

Job Description:
The Data Operations Manager is responsible for data operations of the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP).  The incumbent develops policies, procedures, and methods for the Data Operations Group and supervises all performance aspects.  Job duties will include:  Hire, train, and supervise data coordinator supervisors who in turn manage data coordinators and data control technicians.  Develop DataFax expertise across staff.  Manage all activities in the Data Operations Group, including communications with clinical sites, data receipt, monitoring and evaluation, data system set-up, maintenance, intra- and extramural training activities.  Work with other SCHARP groups to define, implement, and monitor good data-collection techniques.  Review new forms for content and consistency with established policies and procedures. Review data management implementation of new protocols for quality and consistency.  Identify, develop, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Practice Guidelines for the Data Operations Group.  Represent SCHARP in Network and non-Network settings by preparing and delivering presentations that describe SCHARP data management procedures/techniques.  Work as part of SCHARP management team to support project policies and goals.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in job-related area or equivalent data management experience.  Four years clinical trials experience.  Four years project management/supervisory experience.  Excellent communication and organizational skills.  Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people.  Excellent writing skills. Programming and/or statistical training a major asset.
