Assistant or Associate Professor

Applications are invited for a tenure track position at the level of assistant or associate professor beginning fall semester 2003.  A Ph.D. in mathematics or statistics and demonstrated excellence in teaching are required.  Strong preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of actuarial science and interest in directing an actuarial program.  A background in applied statistics or applied mathematics is also desirable.  The applicant must have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.  In addition, it is expected that the applicant has a good research record with potential for continuing scholarly activity and will actively participate in departmental and professional service.  The standard teaching load is 12 hours per semester.
