MANAGER: STRATEGY & ANALYSIS

Digitas, a professional services firm helping corporate clients connect with customers and improve marketing productivity, is looking for a Manager with strategy and financial modeling skills. The ideal candidate should be passionate about client work, collaboration-oriented with professional poise and presence and have a commitment to ongoing skills and professional development. Flexible and able to multi-task, this person should be detail and results-oriented with a determination and bias for action and a sense of personal accountability and ownership for his/her work.

Role:

The Manager will work under the direction of a Vice President in Strategy and Analysis and be a focal point for internal cross-functional teams and liaison to client teams.

Working with the Digitas and client teams, the manager will lead the development of strategic insights to address clients' key marketing challenges. In addition to assisting client teams to structure client initiatives/engagements and driving the Strategic and Analytic agenda, the manager will develop models to quantify the opportunity represented by the team's recommendations.

The manager will also be responsible for developing financial models which assist marketing teams in optimizing marketing spend to achieve client goals. The Manager will be required to document assumptions and benchmark metrics against industry, competition and existing Digitas client work, identifying source(s) of data and verify data integrity. This person will perform sensitivity analysis to identify key drivers that impact model output(s), leverage existing knowledge for prior/ongoing projects, and provide management support to internal and external teams with some strategic insight.

This role will also require an ability to orchestrate multiple capabilities to deliver the inputs required to drive strategic insights for the development of client marketing plans - the manager may be required to manage the work of secondary research, primary research, and analysts within Strategy and Analysis. The role will require some client interaction.

Desired Skills:

• The successful candidate can propose, implement and manage multiple projects, with familiarity or work experience in a marketing or professional service related business.
• The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities and an understanding of how to set up models and track results across multiple marketing channels using multiple data sources.
• Solid marketing and quantitative skills are required.
• Experience in developing and presenting client insights, recommendations, financial model structure and results is also required.
• Project management expertise with a scope of at least 3 months duration and 6 months of effort is needed and work experience in a consulting or other service industry environment is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Experience:

• 3+ years required experience in marketing, financial analysis, and/or agency/consulting experience, including professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Finance/Banking
• Management Consulting
• Marketing/Advertising
• Measurement/Statistical Analysis
 

Education:

• Bachelors degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or economics, or other relevant graduate degree (e.g. Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Operations Research). MBA a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial, economic and business analysis methodologies to help clients and internal teams in client engagements.
• Exhibit knowledge of integrated marketing and customer relationship management disciplines (including marketing research, general marketing, advertising, direct marketing, customer care, etc.).
• Basic understanding of channels (both owned and external) and their role within business functions.
• Demonstrate strong skills in modeling using Excel and other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• 3+ years managing and coordinating multiple projects across internal teams and client relationships, with experience managing and mentoring Analysts.
• Demonstrated experience in the following areas; communication, team building, problem resolution, presentation, sense of urgency and accountability, and survival skills to learn fast.
