Coordinators, Statistical Research

 The University of Florida, College of Medicine's Children's Oncology Group (COG) Data Center seeks two individuals at the rank of Coordinator, Statistical Research.  Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a Bachelor's degree and two years of appropriate experience is required.  The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience with SAS as both a data management tool and as a statistical data analysis tool, strong background in mathematical statistics, extensive experience using SQL to query Oracle databases, some experience programming with FORTRAN, and outstanding oral and verbal communications skills.

The COG is funded by the National Cancer Institute, is a network of all major treatment centers for childhood cancer in the USA and Canada, and conducts clinical trials and biological studies.  This position involves substantial SAS and SQL programming and the creation of statistical reports as directed by research biostatisticians.  The incumbent will work closely with programming staff to monitor the development of the Oracle database and is co-responsible for reviewing and producing pre-coded forms (currently, there are over 200 paper forms and numerous online data screens).  The incumbent interacts with local and external data managers and research biostatisticians to create and develop study-specific worksheets that ultimately become screens for the COG remote data entry project.

The salary is commensurate with experience and may exceed range.
