CMRI is a government-contracted health quality improvement organization located in the SF Financial District. We currently have a great opportunity for a motivated professional to join our Health Information Services team.
In this role, you will provide general biostatistical support for Medicare and other health care related projects and investigations. The incumbent supports epidemiologic/analytic staff working on quality improvement projects, beneficiary services staff working on utilization and quality care investigations, programmers developing reports and other staff in proposal preparation. Performs sampling design and estimation including calculation of sample sizes and estimates; performs data analysis using appropriate statistical methodology. Liaison for technical conference calls with CMS and other PROs. Presents analytical results in reports, publications and at conferences.
Candidate must possess a Masterís degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or related field with experience in health care or epidemiology OR a Masterís in Epidemiology or a related field with a strong statistical emphasis. PhD desirable. Two years progressively responsible experience in the application of statistical methods to the analysis of health care data. PRO experience desirable. Demonstrated ability to analyze data; experience in using healthcare data, preferably health claim or discharge data. Proficient using Windows 95 in a Novell operating environment; proficiency in SAS software for analysis and reports, Microsoft Office and WordPerfect.
