Clinical Statisticians

A leader who is capable of motivating a team. Clinical statisticians are
responsible for assisting in the development of clinical trial designs and data
analysis plans under the auspices of a senior statistician and in collaboration
with physicians, working with systems analysts and CRAs to establish a
reporting Database, and analyzing clinical trial data for these types of studies.
The successful candidate should therefore be proficient in the SAS programming
language. The successful candidate should also possess good interpersonal and
communication skills, allowing him or her to consult effectively with a variety of
customers, e.g., medical, marketing, discovery.

Statistical Trial Design and Analysis Operate in collaboration with product team
medical personnel, global health outcomes personnel, and possibly others to
provide input to study protocols under the guidance of a senior statistician. Will
assist in and eventually be accountable for selecting statistical methods for data
analysis, authoring the corresponding sections of the protocols and data analysis
plans, and conducting the actual analysis once a reporting database is created.
Will be expected to collaborate with data management and in implementing
quality assurance plans. Will be expected to maintain currency with respect to
statistical methodology, to maintain proficiency in applying new and varied
methods, and to be competent in justifying methods selected.

Communication of Results and Inferences Will collaborate with other product
team members to write reports and communicate results under the guidance of a
senior statistician. Will be responsible for assisting in the communication of
study results via regulatory submissions, and manuscripts, as well as
communicating one on one with key customers. May also be asked to respond
to regulatory queries under the supervision of a senior statistician.

Therapeutic Area Knowledge Become familiar with relative disease states in order
to enhance the level of customer focus and collaboration. Ideally, the successful
candidate will be eventually seen as a strong scientific contributor.

 Salary:  $80K-130K annually.  Excellent compensation package and unlimited
