If you are a senior level biostatistician with great people skills,
we should talk. We are at war with cardiovascular disease - the number
one cause of death worldwide. As a full service clinical research
organization (CRO) we bring new cardiovascular medicines and devices to
market, providing state of the art scientific and clinical support to major
pharmas, biotech companies and manufacturers of medical devices.
At our SF Bay Area headquarters, we design and conduct clinical research
and multi-center studies for new and existing medicines and devices in
clinical phases of drug development. What gives us a leading edge are comprehensive and proprietary clinical databases. These hold information on more than 26,000 cardiac surgery patients and 6,000 non-cardiac patients.
With access to these proprietary databases, we can support critical study design and protocol development decisions leading to an accelerated clinical development program.
We have a unique challenge and opportunity for someone who wants to leverage five years of industry experience as a senior level biostatistician. We're looking for a unique combination of skills in this role.
Yes, we want your statistical analysis capability at the computer, but we want more. We someone who, frankly, has a gift for gab. Who is comfortable meeting with clients and prospective clients at dinner, at seminars, at investigator meetings, at tradeshows. Someone with the knowledge and business development skills to help sell our clinical data services. In these encounters you will be meeting with major pharmas, biotech companies and other CROs.
When you have on your biostatistics hat, you will collaborate with others
on the biostatistics and clinical development teams to design and conduct
clinical trials and epidemiological studies. You will have the depth and
breadth of experience to guide others through the evaluation, interpretation and preparation of study results. In these efforts you take charge of the statistical analysis methodology and conduct the statistical programming, design and analyses. A high level of SAS proficiency will be required.
Academically we are seeking a PhD in Biostatistics and no less than
five years industry experience inside a pharma or biotech company. You
must be adept at handling the management and statistical analysis of data
supportive of regulatory filings.
In this hybrid role, you will need exceptional organizational skills, you must have strong interpersonal skills and it goes without saying that you need to speak and write effectively.
Our researchers have distinguished themselves in the areas of perioperative and cardiovascular medicine and we now are making a mark in such additional therapeutic areas as Cardiopulmonary, CNS, Oncology, and Women's Health. We are poised for significant growth and want to talk with someone who can be a difference maker.
