Director of Biostatistics
Associate or Full Professor

Candidates are invited to apply for a leadership role as Director of the Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and Associate Director for Biostatistics and Informatics of the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland.  We seek candidates with nationally recognized scholarly and scientific accomplishments in biostatistics and an enthusiasm for undertaking translational research.  The successful candidate will direct the biostatistics graduate program that awards both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, leading seven faculty engaged in a broad range of research including microarray analysis, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and longitudinal data analysis.  In addition, he/she will collaborate on the design and analysis of clinical trials and epidemiologic studies undertaken within the Cancer Center.  Applicants should hold an earned Doctorate in biostatistics or a related field, and be of sufficient stature and accomplishment to be appointed to a tenured position at the level of Associate or Full Professor.  The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics comprises 24 primary faculty, and has over 100 M.S., Ph.D. or M.P.H. students in the following Divisions: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology, Health Services Research, and Public Health (  The Cancer Center is organized into seven interdisciplinary scientific programs and ten multidisciplinary disease management clinical teams that serve to integrate cancer research and cancer therapeutics and prevention services (  Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland are located in University Circle, an area of remarkable educational, cultural, and medical concentration (
