The incumbent will: provide statistical support to drug discovery research areas, collaborate with scientists to plan meaningful experiments, analyze the results, and communicate the findings. Create informatics tools that facilitate use of advanced statistical methodology by scientists. Provide instruction and seminars on statistical methodology.
The requirements for this position include: a Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics or a Ph.D. in other areas (e.g. Computational Biology, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, etc.) with a strong statistics background. Strong science background, with good working knowledge of biology, chemistry or pharmacology. Candidate must be proficient in using SAS, SAS JMP, S Plus, R or related software packages. Excellent oral and written communication skills. One to three years of experience is desirable, but recent Ph.Ds will also be considered.
