Non-Clinical Biostatistician

There is currently an opening for a statistician in Non-Clinical Biostatistics at the Bristol-Myers Squibb facility in Wallingford, CT.
The incumbent will collaborate with scientists in drug discovery biology and high throughput screening. Work will involve data mining, multivariate analysis, experimental design, programming of new statistical methodologies, and leading seminars on statistical applications. The incumbent will help to develop and implement strategies to broaden the scope of statistics and institute statistical thinking across the Research Institute.
A Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics is preferred.

Candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of statistical methods and theory. Knowledge and collaborative experience in areas of data mining, experimental design and/or statistical computing are highly desired. Candidates must be proficient in using SAS, S-Plus, or related software packages and have strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.  No prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required for this position.
