Research-Intensive Biostatistics Faculty Position

The University of Alabama School of Dentistry invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-earning position in biostatistics and clinical research as Director of Biostatistics.  The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Position responsibilities predominantly include biostatistics research and support in patient-oriented research disciplines, including observational cohort studies and clinical trials.  Candidates will spend a small portion of their time participating in the school’s teaching mission. This position would lead and/or be involved with ongoing School research in the fields of oral epidemiology, dental health services research, and clinical trial research.

Applicants should have a PhD or similar doctorate in biostatistics or a related field.  Candidates are expected to attract external research funding over time.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.  U.S. citizens or permanent residents only.  Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required.
