Department of Mathematical Sciences
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Statistics starting August 2005. Requirements include a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related discipline. Applicants must have demonstrated potential for success, in establishing a strong program of research and a strong commitment to teaching. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous start-up funds are also available. Applications from candidates with research interests in Bioinformatics, Applications to Biomedical Sciences, Bayesian Analysis and Spatial Statistics are especially welcome, but candidates in all areas of statistics will be considered. Women and minorities are particularly encouraged to apply.
