The Web site Usability, Metrics, and Analysis team is seeking a talented individual for the role of statistical analyst. Our team's vision is to work with our internal customers and partners to understand and instrument the "science of online shopping." More specifically, the statistical analyst will lead and employ a wide variety of data analysis methods to drive quantitative decisions that improve customer shopping experience and sales on Amazon.com and partner Web sites. Successful candidates will have a master's degree or Ph.D. in applied statistics; at least 5 years of experience applying diverse statistical methods in a business environment; a proven track record providing statistical leadership on multiple projects simultaneously, and executing and delivering on project objectives; excellent written and verbal communication skills; evidence of strong individual initiative and adaptability to change; proficiency using SAS and other statistical
software.
