A position for a doctoral-level epidemiologist/statistician with
an interest in cancer epidemiology is available in the Department of Epidemiology
and Social Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
The position will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to undertake
extensive analysis of data from a large cohort study of diet, lifestyle
factors, and cancer risk, and to become involved in the development of
new cancer-related studies.
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a leading research institution with a strong commitment to excellence in research. It has a number of NIH-funded centers, including one in cancer. The Department of Epidemiology and Social Medicine is well recognized for its multi-disciplinary programs in epidemiologic, prevention, and health services research, and has a growing cadre of cancer epidemiologists.
Applicants should have a strong interest in cancer etiology in general, and a particular interest in nutritional epidemiology. They should also have strong data analysis and writing skills. Qualified candidates include doctoral graduates (Ph.D., Dr. P.H., or equivalent) wishing to specialize in cancer epidemiology.
