RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
*Perform data analyses using the customer or prospect database to understand customer/prospect behavior relating to card usage, credit risk, and other value drivers.
*Develop mathematical and statistical models which predict customer/prospect behavior.
*Manage the work of the staff assigned to the Director, conduct performance assessments, reviews; create development plans and provide regular, routine redirecting and reinforcing feedback. Allocate staff time.
*Analyze impact of decisions on customer/prospect behavior and profitability.
*Assist in the implementation of any models or segmentation schemes developed for marketing programs.
*Assist in the development of financial projections for targeting marketing, underwriting, and credit policy activity.
*Communicate with business leaders the insights gained through the data analysis, including implications for business strategy.
*Masterís or Ph.D. degree in statistics/math
*Three to five years risk modeling experience preferably in the credit card industry
*Experience managing direct reports
*Proficient use of SAS for data manipulation, analysis, and statistical modeling in a business environment
*Proficient use of various other data analysis tools for data manipulation, reporting, statistical modeling, etc.
*Ability to prepare thorough technical documentation according to industry standards for any statistical models or quantitative algorithms produced for use in business activities
*Ability to summarize analysis results graphically and numerically in MS Excel
*Ability to write up analytical results in summary memos
*Extraordinary verbal and written communications skills
*Highly motivated. Must work well in a team environment.
