Positions in Molecular Biometry
The University of Wisconsin - Madison is seeking outstanding candidates for three faculty positions in molecular biometry, at least one of which is expected to be at the senior level. Candidates trained in mathematics, statistics, or related fields, whose research responds to challenges from molecular and cell biology are urged to apply. The new faculty will play a leadership role in building strong, new connections between the mathematical and biological sciences on the campus.
The research program of this group will place particular attention on models and methods of inference that exploit molecular information to guide understanding of biological systems and processes. Appointments are expected to be 50% in the Department of Mathematics and/or Statistics and 50% in an appropriate department in the biological sciences. Alternative arrangements are possible, depending on the background and interests of the candidate.
