Two, tenure-track, assistant professor positions

Applications are invited for two, tenure-track, assistant professor positions in mathematics/statistics beginning August 2001. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong research potential. Experience in any of the following is desirable: course and program development, innovative teaching techniques including technology, or supervising undergraduate research.

Applications must include a curriculum vita, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, a brief research prospectus, three letters of recommendation, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Review of applications will begin December 1 and will continue until the positions are filled. Demonstration(s) of teaching effectiveness will be required as part of the on-campus interview.
