In conjunction with the newly-formed Genetics Institute at UF, the Department of Statistics is looking to fill a faculty position in statistical genetics and/or bioinformatics beginning August 10, 2001. The rank and tenure of the position can be either Assistant (tenure-track), Associate (tenure-track or tenured) or Full (tenured Professor) Professor. Salary, support and start-up funds, and teaching duties are negotiable. In an effort to increase UF's activity in genetics research, three senior faculty lines are available through the Colleges of Medicine, Agriculture, and Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). The CLAS line has been awarded to the Department of Statistics to recruit a statistical geneticist who will lead the effort to organize the genetics activities across all participating colleges.
