Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor

The University of Texas-Houston Medical School seeks an experienced genetic statistician and/or an experienced genetic epidemiologist for tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions. The successful applicant will join a dynamic school with growing extramurally funded research programs that focus on the genetic basis of human diseases. The person will assist in the design and analysis of genetic and genomic studies. In addition, the successful candidate will act as a collaborator on grants and assist in the programmatic development of campus-wide bioinformatics/genetic/genomic research program. This position involves 50% time for teaching and mentoring graduate students, fellows and faculty as part of an NIH-funded Clinical Research Curriculum and Mentorship Program and a developing Master Degree Program in Clinical Research. The successful candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, relevant research and teaching experience, and a record of peer-reviewed publications.
