Bio-informatics/Statistical Genomics

The Department of Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with research interests and training in Bio-informatics/Statistical Genomics, starting August, 2001. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. The University of Georgia has launched a Bio-informatics initiative, and there currently exists on campus a core of researchers in this area. The successful candidate will be placed in the Statistics Department, with the expectation that s/he will interact with other groups in Computational Biology and Bio-informatics.
