The Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Denver seeks to fill a position at the Full Professor level, contingent on budgetary approval, beginning August 2001. We offer B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees; faculty interests span computational mathematics, discrete mathematics, engineering mathematics, operations research, probability, and statistics. We seek qualified applicants in applied statistics: the ideal candidate will interface well with faculty in other areas. Applicants should have demonstrated accomplishments in research, teaching, program development, and have a strong commitment to outreach and professional service. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in statistics or a related discipline. The Department currently maintains a network of Unix- and Linux-based computers, with S-Plus being the principal statistics environment.
