The Computing Center at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR, seeks a Statistical Consultant to provide expert statistical consulting support for faculty research, graduate student dissertation/thesis work, and staff data analyses on the Computing Center's large shared systems. Duties include supporting various statistical packages/products and users of symbolic mathematics packages, assisting in the design of survey research instruments and anticipated sampling methodologies, and teaching short courses on selected statistical computing topics.
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in statistics or applied statistics, decision sciences (statistics emphasis), or the equivalent; minimum of one year's experience supporting academic statistical computing users on large shared systems; and extensive experience with a broad range of commercial statistical packages.
