Tenure-track associate professor

Southern Methodist University invites applications for a tenure-track associate professor position in statistical science starting Fall 2001. Requirements include a Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics with a strong interest and capability in teaching and research. All specialties will be considered, but special strength in statistical computing is desired, and interest in biostatistics or environmental statistics is of particular interest.

The department is comprised of 10 faculty members and about 25 graduate students. Since 1968, more than 100 PhDs have been awarded and there is a stimulating atmosphere for research on a variety of topics and applications. The department provides a congenial working environment and is located in a major metropolitan area. []
