Multiple openings for statisticians

There are currently multiple openings for statisticians in Non-Clinical Biostatistics at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pharmaceutical Research Institute in NJ.

The primary focus of these jobs is to provide statistical expertise and collaborate with scientists in drug discovery and development. Work will involve high level statistical consulting in the form of experimental design, statistical analysis, programming of new statistical methodologies, as well as providing instruction and seminars on statistical methodology. Additionally, the incumbents will help to develop and implement strategies to broaden the scope of statistics and institute statistical thinking across the Research Institute.

A Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics is preferred.

Candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of statistical methods and theory. Knowledge and collaborative experience in areas of experimental design and statistical computing are highly desired. Candidates must be proficient in using SAS, S-Plus or related software packages and have strong technical, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Some knowledge of the R&D process in pharmaceutical industry is desirable, but not required.
