Senior Staff Scientist, Staff Scientist /Senior Research Scientist, Data Mining Expert, Chemometrician, Research Scientist

Senior Staff Scientist:

We seek a statistical scientist with established national and international technical credentials and scientific network. The successful candidate will have an established publication record, with a current career objective that focuses on mentoring and promoting the excellent technical work of others as well as their own. Must be visionary, motivational, energetic, and have the ability to communicate effectively with non-statisticians. Must manage technical and client relationships. Should be committed to developing and marketing the technical capabilities of the statistical sciences group. A strong background in chemistry, biology, or physics is highly desirable. The incumbent will identify opportunities for new business, interface directly with customers to develop the scope, budget and deliverables for new or continuing projects, and work with key clients to shape the future directions of statistical sciences projects.

Staff Scientist /Senior Research Scientist:

We seek statistical scientists who are technically strong and actively developing a national reputation. Strong applied statistics background and ability to provide technical leadership to a team of staff is essential. Able to manage fairly large projects and develop business in a targeted technical area. Good mentor and communicator. Primarily focused on technical work. Capable of developing state-of-the-art methods and approaches. Could be focused on a specific application area or may be a generalist who can apply capabilities to many areas. A strong background in chemistry, biology, or physics is highly desirable. Examples of specific needs include:

Research Scientist:

We seek entry level statistical scientists who have a Ph.D. in statistical sciences and some training/experience in chemistry, biology, or physics. Should be have substantial knowledge in one of the following areas; spectral analysis, pattern recognition, process control, data compression and analysis, classification, clustering, wavelets, stochastic modeling, neural nets, chemometrics, classification, or any number of multivariate methodologies. Strong computational capabilities are essential. Must possess leadership potential. Solid applied first-principles mathematics and statistics education is highly desirable.
