Visiting position in Statistics
Applications are invited for a 12-17 month visiting position in Statistics
for the period August 1, 2002, to July 31 or December 31, 2003. The position
may also be taken up at a later date (but no later than January 1, 2003).
The appointment will be at the full or associate professor level, depending
on the qualifications of the appointee.
Applicants from all areas of statistics and applied probability are sought. Responsibilities include teaching one course per semester, maintaining an active research program, and participating in normal departmental activities.
Applicants should have a solid record of research, and must have a good command of English.

and several major research centres, the University of Oulu (the second
