The Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health seeks
applications for two tenure-track positions in Statistical Genetics, beginning summer/fall 2002.  Successful candidates will join a growing group of statistical geneticists in the Department and a wider community consisting of genetic epidemiologists in the School of Public Health and a new Department of Genetics supported by a campus-wide genomic sciences initiative.  Appointment can be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications.  Applicants should demonstrate strong potential for innovative methodological and collaborative research, along with evidence of broad teaching interests.  Review of applications will begin in January 15, 2002.  Applications and four letters of reference should be sent to:
