BIOSTATISTICIAN - Search number M939

The Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University has an immediate opening for a biostatistician to work on research projects at the Center and to provide statistical consultation to outside investigators. The position offers excellent opportunities for professional growth in a stimulating research environment, collaborating on both local and multi-center clinical studies. Candidates should have a master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, or biometry. A master's degree in epidemiology, health services research, applied mathematics or a related field may be sufficient if appropriate statistical course work has been completed, as may a bachelor's degree with extensive statistical coursework and experience. Candidates must exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills and have broad experience in statistical computing. Experience in biomedical research and working knowledge of UNIX, Splus, SAS and/or Stata are highly desirable.
