The Mid America Heart Institute is currently seeking a Statistical Programmer for its rapidly growing cardiovascular research program. This person would work closely with physicians, scientists and department team members on clinical research projects.

The position would require preparing and maintaining datasets, working with multiple databases, reporting, analysis, and collaboration on proposals and manuscripts. The ideal candidate should have a degree in statistics or related discipline, strong programming skills, and at least two years experience using SAS, including SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, macros and SQL. A working knowledge of biostatistical methods, experience with large databases and experience with clinical data are desirable.

The Mid America Heart Institute is an internationally recognized center for excellence in cardiovascular care, education and research. The Cardiovascular Research Center maintains one of the largest and most sophisticated cardiac patient databases in the world, and has an active research program with currently more than 80 internal and externally funded research studies.
