The utility of Ardais' reservoir for clinical genomics will be further enhanced with tools to be developed for sample size calculation, experimental design, and data analysis and interpretation. Currently, the literature is full of experiments with insufficient sample sizes for proper inference. Designing experiments with sufficient statistical power will allow for conclusive interpretations from such experiments. We believe that developing and providing such tools to those who will access our reservoir for clinical genomics will give Ardais and its customers and collaborators substantial competitive advantage.Position Description
As the lead biostatistician, your primary responsibilities will include; taking charge of algorithm development around sample size calculations and experimental design issues, serving as a conduit between Statistical Genomics and programmers, external consultants, and other collaborators to ensure smooth transition from algorithms to software, with the view that the end product would become available as a part of our platform to current and future customers. You will also interact with the Product Development group to provide expertise in biostatistics as needed, with the Pathology group to facilitate more efficient routines for pathology verification, and with Bioinformatics and IT groups to ensure a detailed understanding and analysis of clinical and pathology phenotypes. This position will report to the Vice President of Statistical Genomics.
