The Department of Scientific Affairs and Clinical Research is seeking a biostatistician to join its team. This position requires at least a Master's Degree and 2 years of health care research and SAS experience and the position's responsibilies include data and project management, methodological design, and statistical analyses.

The Department of Scientific Affairs and Clinical Research is responsible for all internal and external clinical research performed within Gambro. The Department has grown 100% this year in both resources and revenues and it has also been poised to broaden its scope by incorporating international research into its responsibilities. It has four major functions:
1. Research * oversight and assistance with clinical trials performed in our clinics * external research including grants and partnerships with pharmaceutical companies
2. Quality Management * internal quality management/quality improvement * development, implementation, maintenance of corporate balanced scorecard and six sigma initiatives * survey design and analysis
3. Data Management * maintenance of Nightingale Data Mart in SQL Server 2000 and departmental web server * assistance with data quality efforts within organization
4. Communication * communication of research activities through peer reviewed journals
