ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR POSITION

IN BIOSTATISTICS / BIOINFORMATICS

Full-time, state-funded, tenure-track or tenured position beginning August 2002. Appointment in Statistics and in the UI College of Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: doctorate in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology or related field, and potential for outstanding teaching and research. Appointment as Associate Professor with tenure requires outstanding publication record and evidence of leadership in research and teaching excellence. Areas of emphasis include biostatistics, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, computational statistics, data mining and Bayesian statistics, but those in any relevant area of statistics and probability are encouraged to apply.
