Tenure-track Assistant Professor to Associate Professor levels
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Harvard School of Public Health
jointly invite applications for a faculty position at the tenure-track
Assistant Professor to Associate Professor levels. Candidate should be
a Ph.D., M.D. or both, with extensive background and expertise in computational/statistical
analyses of genetic data. In the setting of the new Belfer Cancer Genomics
Center at the DFCI, the individual would have a unique opportunity to develop
and implement a state-of-the-art program devoted to studying genetic and
genomic changes that contribute to initiation and progression of cancer,
alter the response the chemotherapeutics, and/or impact on cancer susceptibility,
prognosis, and treatment. As a member of the faculty at HSPH, the individual
will supervise graduate students and participate in the biostatistics curriculum.
Significant resources have been committed towards a genomics infrastructure
that includes microarray, SKY and high-throughput DNA sequencing capabilities.
The qualified candidate would be expected to provide intellectual and technological
leadership in the Biostatistics and the Genomics programs and to facilitate
programmatic interactions across the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard
School of Public Health.
