Experienced masters-level biostatistician to collaborate directly and independently with clinical scientists on a variety of studies related primarily to the causes, prevention, new treatments, and clinical practice outcomes related to heart disease. This person will join an established team of of the biostatisticians and statistical programmers and will work on numerous studies, providing expertise and support in all phases of statistical science, from designing studies to publishing the results.
Applicants must be able to show previous success in working collaboratively with biomedical researchers, but experience in heart disease is not necessary. Applicants should possess a masters degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related field with at least three years of relevant statistical experience in a biomedical environment. Excellent written/oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and strengths in using standard statistical software are essential. It must be emphasized that these biostatisticians are expected to collaborate effectively and creatively on their own with clinical investigators.
