18,909 to 38,874 pounds per annum inc.
These researchers will be employed in DIRC, a major interdisciplinary, multi-university, 6-year research initiative on the dependability of computer-based (http://www.dirc.org.uk), and in the DOTS project (http://www.csr.city.ac.uk/projects/dots.html) about diversity in systems built from off-the-shelf components.
Suitable candidates will have a background in one of these areas: probability and statistics, mathematics, reliability engineering, or computer performance and reliability.
For the junior appointments, you should have a first degree and be intending to pursue a PhD during the course of this project. For at least one of the positions, we are looking to appoint a more senior candidate who has a PhD or equivalent industrial experience.
Salaries will depend on the qualifications and track record of the successful candidates.
