Statistician Vacancy, Division of Reproductive Health

The Division of Reproductive Health (DRH) is currently recruiting for a mathematical statistician to work in the area of Maternal and Child Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. The primary skills that we are searching for include good data analysis skills and some experience in survey methods. Primary responsibilities include assisting states in developing and implementing the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), a multi-mode survey of women who have recently given birth, and in providing assistance with analytic methods for some of our maternal and child health surveillance activities. This person will assist states in developing sample designs, surveillance protocols, project implementation plans, and analytic plans. In addition, the incumbent will work with data from other large surveys, such as the National Hospital Discharge Survey, as well as other surveys and intervention studies that DRH undertakes. This position is graded at a GS 12/13 level, with a salary range of $52,399 to $81,009.
